WebMechanix is seeking a skilled Web Designer to join our in-house Design & Development department. The Web Designer’s role is to work with developers and marketers to bring web creative to life -- both internally and for WebMechanix clients.


  • Design ad creative for major networks (AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Conceptualizing original design ideas that bring simplistic user experiences

  • Use data-driven decisions to improve designs over time

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas

  • Present key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

  • Promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies


Skills & Experience

  • 6+ months professional experience as a web designer

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wireframing tools

  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction

  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks, particularly Bootstrap and grid systems

  • Understanding of web page user interface and development best practices

  • Understanding of designing and building for cross-browser compatibility

  • Great interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Extreme attention to detail is a must
