Director of Sales

Job description

We are looking for a proven and motivated Director of Sales to join our Digital Agency. You should be passionate about helping clients find the right solution to exceed their needs. You should be excited about coaching/mentoring BDRs.

The best candidate will have an intimate knowledge of digital marketing & advertising which serves as a foundation to build WebMechanix specific information on top of.

Here's the stuff you'll do: 

  • Sell "in the trenches" -- you will not just oversee the sales team. You will prospect, nurture, and generate qualified leads via phone, email, and networking as well.

  • Manage and lead prospect nurturing efforts including ongoing insight development, content development, and outbound contacts via ads, email, phone, etc.

  • Set expectations, measure, and coach each member of the sales team

  • Optimize our current sales process (e.g. improve scripting, proposals, CRM usage, differentiators, offers)

  • Create business development content including white papers, POVs, presentation decks, newsletters

  • Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution

  • Assert WebMechanix’s value proposition verbally and through case study-related presentations to current and prospective customers

  • Work collaboratively with senior management on RFP’s, sales pipeline, prospect meetings, pitches and presentations

  • Build strong brand-awareness for the agency through outreach including trade shows, networking events, meetings, cold calls, etc.

Requirements

What you need: 

  • 7-10+ years of sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment with a consistent track record of exceeding quota, digital agency environment is optimal
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with digital marketing technologies (CRM, email, mobile, social, display, search, web) is essential
  • Management experience, especially with growing/developing sales talent
  • Experience selling in complex buying industries (B2B SaaS optimal)  
  • Superior writing and presentation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail while writing proposals, pitches, or scripts
  • 2 years of college coursework or equivalent experience
